The hotel will be offering hot lunches as well as the offerings in their Restaurant. If you signed up for the Saturday Night Dinner, we will not be having a table sign-up list this year. There will be seating for 80 people and there are 67 dinner sign ups this year. I suspect the majority of you see the value in all of the fantastic places we have around the hotel to check out and highly encourage you to explore!
Caddyshack is still available and it's inside the hotel! The restaurant is owned by brothers Bill and Brian Doyle Murray. I posted some pics up and posted the menu. Food is great, To Make reservations...847-443-FORE (3673) early. They are open for lunch and as long as people are around stay open until 2am!! Great bar too! Again —- Reserve early! Oh, they also do carry outs in case you want to order ahead of time and are in a hurry.
Again year, we've included some extended break times before open dance begins so that you can take advantage of some great area restaurants outside of the hotel. For those of you looking for any alternative food offerings, there are some great places to check out and I would suggest you talk to your group and reserve early. Note the break times on the current Workshop Schedule when making your reservations....This is still a rough draft and I still have to move some slots around but the break times will not change. I have previously gone to each of these restaurants and can recommend all of them. For new dancers, take particular note of Ballroom 1, which is perfect for new dancers. All of these dances will be repeated at night in Ballroom 1 (Bob and Denise' Open Dance Room) so you will all have a chance to do the dances you learned with the instructor. A time schedule will be available at the event. Returning on the schedule this year will be a quick recap of the day's dances. (Each recap will only be up to 10 minutes long so don't use this as a substitute to take a quick new lesson.) The schedule will change from now so please do not print it out until shortly before the event for the latest and greatest!! Many send me questions as to why all the dances aren't listed yet. They are listed when the Choreographers turn them in.
For those who can't attend or would like to view the demos and dance activity in the main ballroom from anywhere they want, please feel from to take advantage of our Virtual Pass option. You already have this option included if you purchased the Platinum or Silver pass and you will be emailed a link shortly before the event for you to access the event virtually.
We will be accepting registrations at the door so you are welcome to bring a friend at the last minute. If you do not receive the correct WC rate, accept whatever rate you are given and email me the confirmation number and I will have it adjusted. I have a limited number of Double Rooms under my name, so if you weren't able to get one and would like to switch, please reply with your Name and Confirmation Number, and I will be happy to switch your room to a double.
Also, if you know people who perhaps want to join us, but can't afford the Event Pass, let them know that we will be offering 4 - Day passes for those who will commit to watching the doors during specific hours. Contact Tina Veliotis for details.
OPEN DANCE
Every year we do feedback and this year we will be using DJ Feed for your requests. This will allow you to ask for a dance from your phone. We also will have Jill's open dance room and she will be playing all requests. JP Potter will be providing a list of dances that will be played throughout the weekend and once he has posted, I will include a link to these on my website.
For the shuttles, if you are traveling International at Ohare, please note the phone number to call for the hotel to assure your shuttle arrives in a timely manner. It is scheduled throughout Thursday and Friday to come hourly.
