Thank you again for attending Windy City Linedancemania 2024. Many rumours have been flying around about next year's event and it's time to address them.
After 20 years of running Windy City, I have decided to pass the baton to a new Event Director. The decision was made due to other obligations and I'd also like to focus on bringing the Palm Springs event back in 2026. More about that to come. My biggest concern about letting go of control of Windy City was that the event would lose it's special uniqueness that set it apart from the others. I also though wanted to make sure that the event continues to evolve and I feel that for both to happen, the best person to take over the event would be John Robinson. He's been a part of Windy City since the beginning and he understands the importance of keeping Windy City an event that will keep you coming back. I'm not disappearing though and will remain as a consultant to make sure the transition runs smoothly. He will be given access to the survey results and like me, will listen to your suggestions for future staff and new ideas to try. I will share the results also with you next week so you have an idea as to what's going to be in store for next year.
I will also share the new information for how to sign up for next year and the hotel booking link next week when I share the results.
Thank you all for a great 20 years and I am sure the next 20 years will be even better.
Also, please pencil in the weekend of Feb 12, 2026 for the return of Palm Springs Linedancemania...I've already secured some very hard to book talent and plan to add more..so far we have

I haven't even reached out to a lot of folks and focused mostly on the International folks because their scheduled are crazy hard to coordinate. But I wanted to make sure I had the minimum secured to entice you all to come out here again!
